ARTE DIEM – art and environment 14.08.-03.09.2007

This project will take place in three different places in the south of Iceland. We will help the three local communities with different tasks related to their festivals.

Arte Diem: Promoting a Culture of Peace through Art

"Arte Diem: Promoting a Culture of Peace through Art" is an important project of YAP (Youth Action for Peace) in the field of peace education. Arte Diem is an international youth exchange project which has been organized annually since 1999 in different countries (in Europe and outside of Europe) with the support of YAP's member organizations. The idea is to gather young people from different backgrounds to reflect about art and how it can serve as a tool to build a peaceful society.
