Mid Summer Workcamps
Summer in Iceland is an experience to live. In the longest day of the year, icelanders and visitors alike gather around Reykjavik and countrywide to celebrate the midnight sun‘s magic on the longest day of the year. The solstice is the apex of a long month‘s sunshine, when the sun hangs determinedly in the sky, never setting.
Unlike some other Scandinavian countries, formally organised events are rare, but visitors will find plenty of family get-togethers with bonfires, feasting and general merrymaking.
Remember, this is a nation that lives through an equivalent month of perpetual darkness, a state of nature that seems to have bestowed upon the people of Iceland an unnatural capacity for fun and wild partying. Enjoy it!

The power of the Runes & Tierra Bomba
Dear friends,
Worldwidefriends has the pleasure to inform u about the succesfull camps we are running in Iceland concerning the power of the runes. The first camp just started and we have 4 wonderfull volunteers travelling around Iceland and together with Antonio developing lot of nice handycrafts out of magic volcanic stones. We will like to thank our partners for the good promotion they are doing concerning this project. It is so important for us since we will use the profit of this items to develop the camps in Colombia. As the runes say follow your heart to fullfill your dreams and for WF it is a dream to help us this poor comunity in south america by giving the oportunity to become a better and more decent place to live.

Welcomes & goodbyes
Dear Friends,
Worlwidefriends is still very active working on the winter Camps. We will like to thank to our last group for Multi Kulti and to welcome our new Multi Kulti and culture and renovation camps! During the next 2 weeks both workcamps will be living together in our accommodation in Reykjavik 101 and working in the two different fields (Renovation and education) where WF is becoming very active. Don’t forget to check regularly our media gallery and enjoy the videos made by our wonderful volunteers.

CULTURE AND RENOVATION
Dear friends, as u probably know WF is developing for the first time lot of projects in winter with very positive outcomes. Since the last 2 weeks a group of three volunteers from Belgium, Germany and Korea together with Antonio has been working in our first culture and renovation camp. We are very happy with their contribution and we will like to thank them for the big effort and for the enormous motivation on helping us in this new WF dream of having a cultural centre downtown Reykjavik. Within the next 6 months we will have many more camps on renovation and within the next 6 months probably WF will open the first international cultural centre in Reykjavik made by the hands of hundred of ALLIANCE volunteers. So thank u guys! It has been amazing to have u here and thank u to ALLIANCE for the great cooperation we had develop in the last years.
